All the GP practices in the area work alongside each other closely. As a group of local doctor surgeries we are committed to continuing to play a central role in looking after and caring for our patients and their families within our area. Our aim is three-prong
To effectively meet patients' needs and provide quality care and services, we follow three clear aims.
Support general practice within North Lancashire and South Cumbria
Act as an interface for Primary Medical Care and the rest of the Health and Social Care System
Provide high quality, at scale services, both clinical and non-clinical
We are the GP Federation for Morecambe Bay.
The area covers 1,000 square miles and our clinical and non-clinical services support North Lancashire and South Cumbria. We support general practice across Morecambe Bay, ensuring surgeries offer excellent healthcare; directly or through MBPCC, so local people live healthy, fulfilling lives. All the GP practices, in the area, work alongside each other closely.
Each practice has a representative that sits on the local Clinical Commissioning Group’s membership council.
